Cloning

What is your position on cloning. Do you have different positions for different types?
1. Human cloning
2. Cloning animals for food
3. Any other kind of reproductive cloning
4. Therapeutic cloning

  1. I think that if you clone organs so someone can survive, that should be allowed. However, I support cloning organs ONLY, and not cloning of a full being, may it be animal or human. I think an organism like a human should be able to keep its originality, and cloning decreases that.

  2. What about nature vs. nurture? Doesn't a cloned being retain individuality if it is raised differently. What's the difference between cloned beings and identical twins other than the manner in which they came into being. If cloning is used properly it could be benificial to our society. For example allowing parents who are unable to have children to obtain ones with the same genetic material. However I do agree with you that cloning organs would be benificial. And what about "grown meat", meat that is cloned but not in the form of a living animal. Wouldn't it provide infinite food and allow less animals to be killed.
